Powerful Pre-Layout What-If Analysis
Pre-layout analysis allows critical interface topologies, termination schemes, and I/O buffer selection
to be defined and analyzed for synchronous, source-synchronous and clock recovery interfaces.
Quantum-SI's graphical user interface allows designers to quickly capture a design's exploration space and
perform automated analyses. The pre-layout editor provides an electrical view of an interface's I/O and
associated interconnect topologies. Schematics can be entered manually, created automatically using the
topology creation wizard, or extracted from routed PCB databases.

Integrated Pre-/Post-Layout Analysis for Major PCB Flows
Quantum-SI uses the transfer net as a common data structure to control both pre-layout and
post-layout analysis. Quantum-SI associates simulation conditions with the transfer nets
to allow for a common simulation state for both pre-layout and post-layout analysis.
This tight integration between the pre-layout and post-layout process is unlike that found in
any other tool.
Post-Layout Verification
In the post-layout verification flow, Quantum-SI validates waveform quality, timing and crosstalk
for system-level interface implementations. Physical designs are extracted and analyzed for major
layout systems. The post-layout environment provides the ability to set up and analyze complex
interface implementations for single and multi-board configurations to validate waveform quality,
timing and crosstalk.

Crosstalk Analysis/Crosstalk Cross-probing on Allegro®
Quantum-SI offers crosstalk analysis capability for both pre-layout and post-layout analysis
flows. In pre-layout, coupled simulations are automatically generated to identify simultaneous
switching output (SSO) effects on timing and waveform quality. Post-layout
crosstalk scan is extremely fast, providing very rapid screening of large multi-board databases.
Crosstalk automatically generates coupling reports that can be used to easily identify the coupled
segments that need to be corrected in order to make the design more robust. Quantum-SI also includes
crosstalk simulation to perform more detailed analysis on any violations that may be reported by the
crosstalk board scan. For Allegro flows, crosstalk errors can be automatically probed, which allows
issues to be quickly identified and resolved.
