Power Integrity

SiSoft performs rigorous analysis of micropackage or printed circuit power distribution systems for power integrity. Our SI staff has constructed coupled RLCG/W-Line pre-layout models or can extract very detailed post-layout models from a layout database.
Our staff obtains impedance profiles of the power system network and performs analysis in the frequency domain (noise at various frequencies and resonant behavior) and in the time domain (noise at various points of time). We also perform isolation studies to show the degree of isolation or coupling between various power or ground splits.
 
Our design activities include decoupling design involving capacitor placement and selection (dielectric types, body sizes and values), via placement, capacitor landing pad design, ferrite bead selection, design of Pi filters to create quiet power for PLL/DLL/Clock oscillator circuits, and the design and analysis of power islands/power splits.
