Maynard, MA -- January 21, 2005 - Signal Integrity Software, Inc. (SiSoft™) today announced that it will showcase its new Quantum-SI™ product family at DesignCon West 2005 this year. Quantum-SI represents a paradigm shift in high-speed analysis by providing the industry's only solution for integrated analysis in a single tool environment. Competitive products don't offer the advance level of integration and automation for performing signal integrity, SSO, crosstalk and timing analysis, which often requires users to learn multiple complex tools and to write costly home-grown scripts to perform some of the powerful functions that are already built into Quantum-SI.
"Many engineers are finding out the hard way that traditional analysis rules-of-thumb break down with today's emerging high-speed interfaces," said Barry Katz, president and CTO of SiSoft. "Our Quantum-SI product is designed to address some of the key deficiencies of competitive tools, while providing an unprecedented degree of automation. Our consulting services group and SiSoft's high-end customers have been instrumental in driving key functionality into our latest product family. We have worked closely with key customers to address specific market needs, which have enabled our customers to achieve greater analysis accuracy in a significantly shorter period of time."
Warren Hayden, vice president of SiSoft's product group remarked, "SiSoft is in the business of providing its customers with margin. Some of our customers use the superior analysis accuracy that our products provide to integrate leading edge technology into their state-of-the-art products. First pass success is key to this type of customer. Missed product delivery dates can mean staggering financial losses and reduced market share. Other, more cost sensitive customers, use the better margin prediction to reduce the cost of their products to gain competitive advantage. For example, one of our customers was able to reduce the cost of a large production run of boards by removing $15 worth of passive components per board, which translated into a multi-million dollar savings."
Warren Hayden noted that DesignCon attendees will have a chance to view and experience some of the rich Quantum-SI feature set. SiSoft's VP of Software Product added that special DesignCon promotional discounts will be given to new customers that purchase Quantum-SI in Q1, 2005 to celebrate the first public showing of its new product family. About Quantum-SI
Quantum-SI is available in four different product configurations with a number of add-on options that allow customers to easily tailor product configurations to meet their specific needs. Product pricing starts as low as $5,500 for a yearly term-based license and $11,000 for a perpetual floating license. All products include signal integrity, timing, and crosstalk analysis. Quantum-SI is available on Windows 2000 and XP, with planned releases later next year on other platforms. Entry-level products provide pre-layout analysis capabilities, while the more advanced product configurations address pre-layout analysis and post-layout verification for complex multi-board systems.
