SiSoft to Participate in Technical Panel on S-parameters at DesignCon 2011
Santa Clara, CA -- January 31, 2011 - Signal Integrity Software, Inc. (SiSoft™) today announced it will participate in a technical panel, “How to Avoid Butchering S-parameters”, at DesignCon 2011 in Santa Clara on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 3:45-5:00 PM.
Dr. Michael Steinberger, Lead Architect of Serial Channel Products at SiSoft, is among the experts presenting their views and perspectives on ways to avoid generating bad S-parameters. Specific topics to be covered include causality, passivity, reciprocity, de-embedding, reference planes, and measurement techniques. Panelists from Bogatin Enterprises, Xilinx, Amphenol, and Simberian will also participate. Varying points of view will be presented. The discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of varying views will provide attendees a broader understanding of S-parameters in general and what it takes to produce good S-parameter files.
DesignCon will be held in the Santa Clara Convention Center in San Jose. Exhibition hours are from 12:30PM to 6:00PM on both Tuesday and Wednesday, February 1-2, 2011.
